While my eager classmates were happily drawing firemen and ballerinas, I paused. I drew a self-portrait and wrote down “Jessica Hoang”.
Throughout my education, I stayed in the visual arts with a focus on photography, sculpture, printmaking, and design. I spent a lot of time with my dad's Canon AL-1 35mm SLR and in my high school's dark room, tinkering with black and white film, and making my own prints.
Even though my family is of Chinese-Vietnamese ethnicity, my parents were supportive of me pursuing a career in design. I enrolled in the best post-secondary design school, York University - Sheridan College.
My skill set was specialized in UI/UX design and I excelled in creating user-centric products that offered new solutions to complex information-based content. I worked at some of Toronto’s leading design agencies including a progressive medtech organization as a Senior Designer.
I loved knowing my work was positively changing the lives of patients, caregivers, and healthcare practitioners around the world. As much as I loved design, serving others, and solving problems… I knew there was more to my calling.
I am known for having an innate ability to genuinely connect with others on multiple levels with compassion, empathy, kindness, and humour... which ultimately helps me produce the most beautiful and emotive photographs for my couples and families.
I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and opening my heart to help others.

I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work with some incredible photographers including international wedding photographer, Joee Wong.

There is something magical about walking off a
plane and onto new, unknown territories. I am in
awe with my surroundings and eager to explore.
I love meeting new people along the way,
experiencing new activities, learning about cultures,
traditions, and religions, trying new foods and
celebrating life.

I come from a large family which has shaped me into the person I am today. My family taught me how to laugh, care, share, love, and work with others. We are a tight-knit bunch with big hearts. As my family grows, I know there are memories to be made and shared.

Whether I’m out dining with friends in downtown Toronto or scarfing down fresh Linguine ai Frutti di Mare in Italy, there's no doubt about it: I love food.
There’s something to be said about the power of food: it brings people together. I love to try new restaurants, new ethnic cuisines but I also love to cook!
Everyone always asks me where the best pho in Toronto is… and that honour goes to my mom and dad!
